Want a healthier and much cheaper option for condensed cream soups?
We don’t buy anything in cans from the grocery store because many of the cans today have a coating on the inside that keeps the food safe to eat. What most don’t realize is many of those so called safe cans have BPA in that coating.
No thank you!
Kind of ironic that something designed to keep you safe is actually dangerous to your health, don’tcha think?
So I either pressure can everything I used to buy in cans or I buy freeze dried foods. The one thing I needed that I couldn’t can myself was cream soups.
So I came up with a good substitute that I could make ahead in a reasonable quantity to have on hand whenever needed. Just add either beef or chicken bouillon when cooking and viola` you’ve got any kind of cream soup!
This cream of any soup mix can be used for cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, cream of celery, cream of broccoli or any other cream soup. It’s even great for making white sauce.
Just mix it all up and store it in a mason jar. It’s so easy to make and really handy to have in the pantry!
I use this soup mix a lot when I make Meals In Jars.
Of course you have this pretty image with the recipe…
Here’s a printable recipe for your recipe book..
